Getting started & onboarding

What is Breachday?

Breachday is a SaaS platform for running business continuity (BCP) and incident response (IR) tabletop exercises. It supports scenario structures aligned with NIST SP 800-84, ISO 22301, ISO/IEC 27035, and NIST SP 800-61.

Sign up

  1. Go to https://app.breachday.io/signup
  2. Enter your name and email
  3. Accept Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  4. Verify your email (check inbox)
  5. Set your password and organization details
  6. Optionally start in a demo organization pre-filled with sample data to explore first
  7. Set up two-factor authentication (2FA) — required before using the app
  8. Choose a billing plan on the billing page (if you picked a plan on breachday.io, it carries over)

Your organization is created with five default participant roles (tabletop seats): Incident Commander, Communications, IT / Security, Legal, and Operations.

Accepting an invite

If invited by an org admin:

  1. Open the invite link from email → https://app.breachday.io/accept-invite
  2. Create an account (new users) or log in with the invited email (existing users)
  3. Complete 2FA setup if not already done
  4. You join the organization at the user role assigned (Admin, Facilitator, or Observer)

Invites expire after 7 days.
